Maintaining our Buildings
The 19 employees of the Maintenance Department include 17 Maintenance Workers, 1 Facilities Service Manager, 1 Facilities Service Coordinator, and 1 Driver. They keep SRO Housing Corporation’s properties operational. Through a highly coordinated system of electronic information sharing and teamwork between Maintenance and Housing Management staff, repair needs are identified, communicated and addressed.
Members of the Maintenance Department perform all of the upkeep necessary–plumbing, painting, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, appliance installation and repair, roofing, furniture assembly, wiring for telephones, landscaping–to maintain buildings and prepare vacant units for occupancy.
An emergency staff team is on call for after hours emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SRO Housing Corporation also employs an experienced and trained security staff to monitor all sites.
