Maintaining our Buildings
The 15 employees of the Maintenance
Department, 12 Maintenance Workers, 1 Office Manager,
1 Driver and the Director of Facilities, keep SRO’s
properties operational. Through a highly coordinated
system of electronic information sharing and teamwork
between Maintenance and Housing Management staff, repair
needs are identified, communicated and addressed.
Members of the Maintenance Department
perform all of the upkeep necessary–plumbing, painting,
heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, appliance
installation and repair, roofing, furniture assembly,
wiring for telephones, landscaping–to maintain buildings
and prepare vacant units for occupancy. An emergency
staff team is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
