 From her home in the Brownstone Apartments, Kyoung Won takes a short walk each week to ease her pain through painting.

She paints with Lillian Calamari’s SRO Housing Art Workshop each Tuesday afternoon at The Rivers Apartments and is a talented impressionistic painter and classic Korean calligrapher. 

Quiet and intensely private, Kyoung prays for relief from chronic pain, incessant noise from an insomniac neighbor and the busy street beneath her 2nd floor window. Her Catholic faith and her spiritual life are important to her and provide solace.
